God created us to be His sons in the image of Jesus.

[Genesis 1:26] Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness

  • [Romans 8:28-29] And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
  • [Colossians 1:15-16] He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.
